Privacy Policy
Scope
This privacy policy provides users with information about the type, scope, and purpose of the collection and use of their data by the responsible provider.
The legal framework for data protection is the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Federal Data Protection Act (new version).
Collection of General Information
With each access to this website, information is automatically collected by us or the web space provider. This information, also referred to as server log files, is of a general nature and does not allow any conclusions about your person.
The following information is collected: name of the website, file, date, data volume, web browser and web browser version, operating system, the domain name of your internet provider, the so-called referrer URL (the page from which you accessed our website), and the IP address.
Without this data, it would be technically impossible in some cases to deliver and display the content of the website. Therefore, the collection of this data is absolutely necessary. In addition, we use the anonymous information for statistical purposes. It helps us optimize our website and technology. We also reserve the right to review the log files retrospectively if there is suspicion of unlawful use of our website.
Handling of Personal Data
Definition: Personal data refers to all information by which a person can be clearly identified. This includes data that can be traced back to a person.
This personal data includes, among other things, first and last names, telephone numbers or IP addresses, and email addresses. This data is only collected, used, and possibly passed on by the provider if the law expressly permits it or if the user consents to the collection, processing, use, and disclosure of the data.
Newsletter
On the website, you have the option to subscribe to a newsletter, which you can voluntarily complete to contact us. By doing so, you give us your consent to electronically collect, process, and store your information and personal data for the purpose of responding according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. You have the right to have your data deleted at any time for the future by the responsible party according to Art. 17 GDPR or the right to revoke your consent according to Art. 7 (in case of consent).
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use the data you enter exclusively for this purpose or to inform you about circumstances relevant to this service or registration. We do not pass this data on to third parties.
To receive the newsletter, a valid email address is required. We also store the IP address from which you subscribe to the newsletter and the date on which you order the newsletter. This data serves as evidence in case of misuse if a third-party email address is registered for the newsletter. To further ensure that an email address is not entered into our distribution list by third parties without authorization, we work in accordance with the law using the so-called “double opt-in” procedure. As part of this procedure, the newsletter order, the sending of the confirmation email, and the receipt of the registration confirmation are logged.
For revocation, we provide you with a link in every newsletter and on the website. You also have the option to communicate your revocation request to us via the contact options listed in this document.
Contact Form
If you contact us via the online form or by email, we store the information you provide in order to answer your inquiry and ask any follow-up questions.
The website contains various order forms on different topics that you can voluntarily complete to contact us and place an order. Your information and personal data will be electronically collected and stored for the purpose of responding according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR. You have the right to have your data deleted at any time for the future by the responsible party according to Art. 17 GDPR.
Integration of Third-Party Services and Content
Our website sometimes includes content, services, and features from other providers. These include, for example, maps provided by Google Maps, videos from YouTube, and graphics and images from other websites. In order for this data to be accessed and displayed in the user’s browser, the transmission of the IP address is absolutely necessary. The providers (hereinafter referred to as “third-party providers”) therefore receive the IP address of the respective user.
Although we strive to use only third-party providers who only need the IP address to deliver content, we have no control over whether the IP address may be stored. This process serves, among other things, statistical purposes. If we are aware that the IP address is being stored, we inform our users accordingly.
Google Web Fonts
This website uses Google Web Fonts. Google Web Fonts are provided by Google Inc. The integration of these web fonts is done through a server call, usually a Google server in the USA. This transmits to the server which of our web pages you have visited. The IP address of the browser of the end device of the visitor to these web pages is also stored by Google. For more information, please refer to Google’s privacy policy, which you can access here: www.google.com/privacy
Cookies
This website uses so-called cookies. These are text files that are stored on your computer by the server. They contain information about the browser, IP address, operating system, and internet connection. This data is not passed on to third parties by us or linked to personal data without your consent.
Cookies primarily serve two purposes. They help us make it easier for you to navigate through our website and enable the correct display of the website. They are not used to introduce viruses or launch programs.
Users have the option to access our website without cookies. To do this, the corresponding settings must be changed in the browser. Use of Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies”, text files that are stored on your computer and enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. Due to the activation of IP anonymization on these websites, your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area beforehand. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.
On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity, and to provide other services related to website usage and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google. You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting your browser software accordingly. However, we would like to point out that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.
You can also prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website (including your IP address) to Google and the processing of this data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: Browser Add-On to Deactivate Google Analytics.

Notice Regarding Species Protection Import and Export Permits from Third Countries
The submission of sample material relevant to species protection (such as feathers from protected species) is not initiated by and without the knowledge of Tauros Diagnostik GbR. The sender/client/customer is solely responsible for this.
Tauros Diagnostik GbR therefore expressly points out that the sender/client/customer must have the required CITES export permits from the exporting country available before Tauros Diagnostik GbR can apply for the required import permit from the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation as the German enforcement authority.
If Tauros Diagnostik GbR receives species-protected material from third countries from senders/clients/customers without a previously submitted CITES export permit, it is not possible to apply for an import permit and the import of the sample into the Federal Republic of Germany is prohibited. The sender/client/customer is liable.
The fee for applying for the import permit is not included in the stated analysis prices and will be fully charged to the sender/client/customer.
Excerpt from the Federal Agency for Nature Conservation:
The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (Washington Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species-WA or CITES) is intended to ensure, through appropriate monitoring measures, that international, cross-border trade in wild plants and animals and products derived from them does not endanger their survival.
The EC, as a non-contracting party, has issued Regulation on the protection of specimens of wild fauna and flora by regulating trade (338/97/EC), which is applied in accordance with the agreement and has direct applicability in all European member states.
Species Protection Customs Clearance of Import Permits
The CITES import permit consists of two copies:
a white original
and a yellow copy for the holder
Sample of the original EU CITES permit form (click on the image to enlarge)
Sample of the yellow copy of the EU CITES permit form (click on the image to enlarge)
Please check both copies of the import permit for completeness and accuracy of the information upon receipt.
Both copies must be presented to a CITES-authorized EU import customs office together with the original CITES export document when importing the protected specimens. The export document usually accompanies the shipment and can only be accepted by the entry customs office according to Article 7(5) Regulation (EC) 865/2006 with the customs clearance stamp of the country of dispatch.
The clearance stamp must be entered by the authorized customs office in field 27 on both copies of the import permit.
Retention of Copies After Customs Clearance
Original (white): is sent to the BfN together with the export document
Copy for the holder (yellow): is returned to the importer as proof of lawful import. This document also serves as proof document for the species protection bookkeeping obligation according to § 6 Federal Species Protection Ordinance (BArtSchV)
Postal Traffic
The species protection regulations for customs clearance apply without restriction.
Unused Documents
After expiration of validity, you are obligated to return both copies of the import permit to the BfN without being asked.
Loss
The loss of a document must be reported to the BfN immediately in writing with a description of the circumstances.
Live Plants and Animals
Please inform yourself before the planned import at the offices of the official plant protection service or at the veterinary offices responsible in the federal states about applicable plant health, animal welfare, animal transport, and animal disease regulations. Assistance is provided by the consumer guide of the Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture, phone: 0228/24252627, on weekdays from Monday to Thursday 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM
