Health checks are particularly important before introducing new stock and before animals are relocated or transported in order to prevent the introduction of pathogens. Many bacterial, viral, or parasitic diseases initially show few symptoms. A health check enables early detection before clinical losses occur.

Regular checks support sustainable stock management and help optimize husbandry and environmental factors.

In addition to the DNA test for koi herpesvirus (KHV), we test your fish for infection with carp edema virus (CEV).

Many fish diseases look almost identical externally. KHV, CEV, and bacterial infections such as columnaris can hardly be distinguished reliably on clinical grounds—misdiagnosis is very common.
